Plumbing And Heating
Our plumbers are gas safe installers, who not only install but carry out tests as well. Therefore, we are able to completely renovate any area as our in-house team can undertake any plumbing work required. We install both mega flow systems and combination boiler systems which we can supply and include in our price. Our plumbers are available to do repairs along with tests and any other general maintenance.
Electrics
Within our team we have qualified electricians who are able to do everything from general repairs to new, complete installations. We can provide high spec electrical work, including installing TVs hidden into the wall. We work hand-in-hand with trusted suppliers, with Magnet and Howdens as our main ones, allowing us to accumulate a reasonable discount rate, offering you fair prices.
Bathroom Refurbishments
From a wet room to a traditional bathroom, we can undertake full bathroom refurbishments with high-quality results. We offer various options to satisfy your needs, including an underfloor heating system and disabled shower access. Our trusted suppliers, K C Electrical, have proven their reliability over many years offering us discounted rates which we pass on to you. From installing new piping, to tiling, to painting, we have qualified tradesmen to perform the full refurbishment. We work with all materials including stone, marble, granite, and porcelain, ensuring we can obtain your desired design.
Renovations
Our in-house plasterers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and general builders provide the perfect team to carry out an easy, clean, and top-quality renovation. Each of our tradesmen are well established in the field offering plenty of advice from years of experience. The main tasks for a renovation include internal alterations, steel beam work, structural alterations, plastering and rendering. Examples of popular installations during renovations include bifolding doors, Velux windows and roof lanterns.
Hard Landscaping
We initiate our extensions with our landscaping service. This assures the client that our work will be what they are expecting and take up the space they are expecting as we work to scale.
Not only do we renovate inside a property, we also provide external landscaping services. These include new patios, porches or driveways, or even building contemporary ponds. Through Colour Rendering
At 1st Choice Build, we have tradesmen qualified to do through colour rendering. We are approved with K Rend and Sto Ltd to install their systems. Instead of the traditional sand and cement, these new systems provide better thermal capability, a nicer finish and the colour is the same all the way through the plaster. This means that if the wall is chipped or damaged, it will look the same underneath. These systems are installed on a regular basis.
Underpinning
A strong foundation to support a house is essential and so we offer an underpinning service to repair structural defects in the building and prevent future movement. The weight of a house on a small foundation is too much, encouraging cracks and damage to the walls. We dig a new foundation section by section, reaching 1.2m deep as opposed to 10-15 inches. We fill this back up with concrete to form a strong, solid foundation which is able to sustain the weight of the house. At 1st Choice Build, we don’t just cover things up; we feel it is important to identify the problem straight away to prevent the problem reoccurring. Underpinning is often the solution to structural defects.
Architectural Services
We work hand-in-hand with architects to provide a bespoke architectural service, designing your home before building. Clients often have limited knowledge in this area and so we meet with them and walk them through it. Our architect’s work will be involved in the price we offer. They will be able to give you as much advice as possible, giving you an input into the design without dictating. We are also happy to work with you if you have your own architect, with ours on hand to offer a second opinion if desired. We then reflect what has been designed and build it.
